Coils resemble springs that remind you of spirals. It is important that your hair can form and hold a coil, although the hair has NOT begun to intertwine. The hair does not begin to lock until the coils are replaced with budding. (Little balls or knots of hair). At this point I have a lot of coiling and a few buds!
